Nothing fancy here. The client had an existing WordPress site and needed to add a Jobs feature into the site. They are a placement agency and the Jobs feature was the main purpose of the site so the feature had to be visually integrated into the current design and to work flawlessly.
There’s nothing glamorous about this sort of integration work. Because the programming skills developers work so hard to acquire are usually less important to success than more generic analysis and problem-solving skills, it’s not as rewarding and not as much fun. But integration, along with troubleshooting and debugging, make up the bulk of the requests I get, so I take some pride in doing it well, even if (maybe especially if) the result of some very hard work can be completely invisible.
